If you have a website, you want people to find it. Search engine optimization (SEO) is the process of making your site more visible to search engines like Google and Bing. The better your SEO, the higher your ranking on search engine results pages (SERPs), and the more traffic you get from searchers.

SEO is the process of making your site more visible to search engines like Google and Bing. By optimizing your site for these search engines, you can increase your chances of being found by potential customers. In order to optimize your site, you need to understand how these search engines work and what people are searching for. With this knowledge, you can make changes to your site that will help it rank higher in the results pages.
More traffic from searchers means more potential customers
If you’re a business owner, then you know that more traffic means more potential customers. But what if I told you that there’s a way to get even more traffic from searchers? It’s called search engine optimization (SEO). SEO is the process of optimizing your website for Google search with the goal of earning higher web traffic levels and improving your overall online visibility. By improving your SEO, you can increase your chances of appearing higher in Google search results, which can ultimately lead to increased web traffic and customers.
The search engine algorithm (such as: Google, Bing, Yandex, Baidu …) takes data from the database (index) and calculate which website users would most like to see, taking into account the queries on the search engine.
Which parameters the algorithm takes, while calculating in the background cannot be confirmed with certainty.
However, there are two factors to Google’s algorithm:
Factors on the website itself – such as technical issues (eg code quality) and textual (site structure, UX, text, word usage …) and
Factors outside the website – links from other websites, social media, etc.
Yoast (one of the better-known SEO plugins for WordPress – there are others such as RankMath) recommends a holistic approach to SEO:
Keywords search – find keywords that your audience uses when searching for the product or service you offer.
Good technical SEO – users like a fast website.
Good UX (user experience) – whether it is difficult to navigate the website or it is confusing content.
Writing quality content – easy to read, concise (to-the-point) and useful.
A solid strategy on social media.
Optimization for use on a mobile phone.
Security – complicated passwords and HTTPS should be used.
Availability – the website should be accessible to everyone.
Attractive websites have a lower bounce rate and higher conversion rate, i.e.. when the visitor completes the desired action, e.g., buy a product or service.
However, given the competition and the increasingly demanding digital world, anyone involved in SEO should pay attention to at least the following:
Development of “backlinks”.
Development of links through infographics.
Advantage of using content (blogs, articles…) on ‘guest’ websites.
Creating internal links.
Content promotion.
Customer reviews.
Contacting journalists and important bloggers.
Distribution of content (via its website, social media, retweets, sharing, via paid ads…)
Building relationships with influencers.
For local SEO, today it is necessary to be on Google My Business and depending on the geographical affiliation on Bing maps, Yelp, etc.
Everyone agrees that the link building tactic called “white hat” and involves the application of techniques to improve the ranking of websites in the long run is the most efficient. That means without relying on tricks that undermine the search engine algorithm, such as buying links, giving away free products in exchange for a link, etc.
